Kunstmeile Krems

The Krems Caricature Museum occupies a special place in the Austrian museum landscape as the only museum for caricature, pictorial satire and critical graphic art. Alongside the long-term presentation of the works of Manfred Deix and the IRONIMUS- Kabinett, which is dedicated to the themes of political caricature, three to four alternating exhibitions a year are presented dedicated to the treatment of historic themes and questions as well as contemporary caricature and critical graphic art. The Kunsthalle Krems is an international exhibition house in the Federal State of Lower Austria. Its programme spans 19th-century art, classical modernism and contemporary art, its main focus being on 20th and 21st-century art.
