For what purposes is data processed? What is the legal basis for this processing?
Your personal data is processed exclusively in accordance with data protection law:
To perform contractual obligations and, where applicable, to carry out pre-contractual measures you request (point b Art. 6(1) of the GDPR)
The processing of your personal data is necessary in order to process your inquiries and orders in specific cases.
The purposes of data processing are geared mainly to the specific inquiry and/or specific order and include, among other things:
- Transmittal of information materials (brochures, maps, etc.)
- Transmittal of offers/booking confirmations/bills/travel materials
- Transmittal of vouchers that have been ordered
- Transmittal of other orders
- Notification of winners and sending of winnings in connection with competitions
- Transmission of data to hosts/services providers so they can process non-binding inquiries

If you have consented to having us process your personal data, it is processed only for the purposes laid down in the consent statement and in the agreed scope.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time with immediate effect. Your withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before you withdrew it. In certain individual cases, your data may be saved and processed for reasons beyond the performance of the business relationship to safeguard the legitimate interests of Destination Waldviertel GmbH. In this regard, you are always informed of your entitlement to opt out.
One such individual case is as follows:
After you make an inquiry or booking with Waldviertel Incoming by phone or electronically, we take the liberty of snail mailing you the magazine “Waldviertel News” (unless you already have an active subscription). This magazine, published at least twice a year, is sent to you free of charge and on a non-binding basis until such time as you cancel it (by e-mailing info@waldviertel.at or by calling +43 2822 54109).
