Use of social media networks
You will find links to the social media network Facebook on our website. These links are not plug-ins from the service provider Facebook that already transmit data to it when the web page is loaded without users having any influence.
The buttons for social media networks only contain a link to the social media network including transfer of the website to be shared. No user data from the website is sent to the social media network.
If you are already logged in on the respective social media service when you click on the button, your log-in is detected in the dialog to share the website, allowing you to share the content directly. If you are not logged-in, you are asked to log into the social media network. From this point in time forward, you are on the website of the social media network.

Destination Waldviertel GmbH cooperates with a wide variety of providers of social network. As part of this collaboration, your browser will automatically contact the selected service provider when you use the respective service (e.g. embedded content such as YouTube videos or Instagram postings). For example, your IP address, cookies and other information will be transmitted to the respective service provider if you have previously visited its website. This data transfer only occurs when you interact with these social networks.

A detailed look at other social media channels:
On our website, we use features of the social media networking site Instagram provided by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park CA 94025, USA. We can display photos and videos using the features for embedding Instagram content (embed function). If you view pages that use such functions, data (IP address, browser data, date and time, cookies) are transmitted to Instagram, stored and evaluated. If you have an Instagram account and are signed in, that information will be associated with your personal account and the data stored in it. YouTube
Our website uses the YouTube button of the social network YouTube operated by YouTube LLC, which has its main office at 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube”). If you call up a page of our Internet website featuring a button of this kind, your browser establishes a direct connection with the YouTube servers. The content of the YouTube button is sent by YouTube directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the web page. We therefore have no influence over the scope of data YouTube collects with this button but we assume your IP address is among the data collected. If you are a YouTube member and do not want YouTube to collect data concerning you through our Internet website and to link that data to your member data saved at YouTube, you must log out of YouTube before visiting our Internet website.
