Any group that spends a project week in one of the twelve certified lodgings can look forward to a stay full of variety in the Waldviertel in Lower Austria. Whether they stay in a youth hostel, at a B&B or a hotel, on a farm or outdoors on a campground: Every lodging is geared especially to young people and offers a multi-faceted program focusing on the topics nature, sports/exercise and creativity. Sustainability is a particularly important priority in the Waldviertel. The member businesses of the Waldviertel Youth Tourism Association contribute in different ways to sustainability.

What’s so special? In cooperation with the Waldviertel Youth Tourism Association, a unique program of side events was devised for each lodging facility. In addition, nearly all the member businesses offer fun bonus services free of charge, such as evening barbecues or special theme hikes with the lodging hosts. Everything is always done in close collaboration with the educators and chaperons and adapted to the given age group and grade level.

Every lodging makes a priority of variety, exercise and conveying content that will be of lasting personal value to participants. All lodgings have separate lounging and activity areas and most have outdoor and indoor play areas. The program variety extends from special theme workshops to outdoor adventures and experiences on a farm.
